Third Project Instructions:
Develop a MEP topic which reflects the grade level chosen for your poster, and create an animated, or regular, video using for example goanimate.com in order to create an educational video for your topic which will teach Vocabulary and Listening.
This 10% mini project should have the following aspects:
(1) Uses at least two characters which fits into your topic criteria.
(2) Use of at least two different backgrounds
(3) Creative use of zooming in and out.
(4) Video is approximately 1 min. in length.
(5) Video uses dialog bubbles for when characters speak.
(6) Creative and original usage of dialog script throughout the video.
(7) Creative use of character props and movements which helps keep student's attention.
(8) Educational in that it teaches 10 Vocabulary Terms in relation to the given topic
(9) Project uses the SAME grade level which is in conjunction to the Poster.
(10) Correct English usage throughout the entire video.
(11) Video is appropriate for teaching the TOPIC based on the grade level, images, context, and teaching elements that will be used in conjunction with the video.
(12) Video is appropriate for teaching the VOCABULARY based on the grade level, images, context, and teaching elements that will be used in conjunction with the video.
(13) Video is appropriate for teaching LISTENING exercise based on the grade level, images, context, and teaching elements that will be used in conjunction with the video.
(14) Creative, hands-on Listening /Vocabulary Comprehension Activity which students will complete while watching the video.
Each Group presents the video and teaching materials in such a manner as to show respect to others while staying open to critiques which are meant to improve the project and how one teaches a topic using CALL.
